I was here
For you
held your hand through the storm
all these years

only the thunder and rain could be the force of nature
And I was just a willow

I am sorry I said I would never leave - you
But I couldn’t stay - small
I’ve been stretched by storm
bent by wind
grown from the pouring rain

I was brought back to life by the lightning
Not burning in flames
